Useful information

To ensure you have a smooth stay with us and to answer some common questions we have compiled the below useful information. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Off Grid

All of our accommodation is fully off grid. The lighting is run by solar power, charged during the day. The accommodation does not have plug sockets. We have charging points and a fridge freezer located in the stables (by guest arrival). Hot water is provided by gas boilers. Our wonderful toilets are composters, which we love, allowing us to minimise our impact on the planet.

Dogs

We allow up to 2 well behaved dogs in each space. However, if you are bringing dogs, please remember that this is a farm (we have goats) and there are neighbouring horses, sheep and cows. Please make sure that dogs are on a lead at all times.

What to bring

All of our accommodation is well equipped with what you need to cook and dine in style.  This includes kitchen essentials such as tea, fresh coffee beans for you to grind and oil. The nearest food shop is over 10 minutes away so please bring the food you need if you’re not planning on venturing far. We provide natural bedding, towels, thick blankets and hot water bottles. Please remember that you will be sleeping under canvas and pack prepared for colder weather. We would recommend thermals, slippers, wellies (for the walk over the field). Please also bring a torch to find your way around safely at night.

Nature based experience

Our accommodation is located on a rural farm surrounded by nature. Our vision is to create overwhelming biodiversity. However, it is already here and thriving. Please expect to interact with nature during your stay with us. If you are sensitive to noises in the night, we recommend bringing earplugs as the owls and morning chorus can be quite loud! We would also love for you to help us identify and monitor what is here by downloading the I-Naturalist App

Wood burners and hot tubs

We provide a large basket of wood and a collection of natural fire lighters for each accommodation. If you need to make more kindling we provide an axe. If you need extra during your stay you can purchase this on site. Please bring cash. We also provide a concierge service where we can heat the space and/or your hot tub for your arrival (please let us know if you want this service at least 4 hours before arriving). This costs £20 to heat the space only or £40 to heat the space and a hot tub and includes the 3 hours of fire tending and the extra wood.

Parking

We provide one parking space for each accommodation. When you arrive at ‘The Goytree’, follow our private track up from the lane. It will fork at the top and take the right hand fork signed ‘The Goytree’. Parking for Mimi’s is just on your right as you arrive. Parking for all other spaces is on the left, up the ramp, signposted ‘parking’.
